Above and beyond.Take an EV Road Trip Around Lake Michigan He truly made the tour a great one and went out of his way to do so. It was actually a very informative journey! Being a Northern Michigan native, I was embarrassed that I had forgotten so much of the islands history! Anthony went out of his way to make sure my group was able to get a photo opp together as well as the other group of people involved in the tour. Anthony was very attentive to his kayakers and involved us in conversations about ourselves as well as several topics on the history of Mackinac Islands landmarks and buildings. We traveled around the harbor and out towards Arch rock. He helped us all into our Kayaks and out into the water. His name was Anthony and he took a few minutes before our departure to give us some quick tips on the proper way to paddle, steer, and how to not tip over. When we checked in for our reservation and were directed down to the water, we were greeted by a bubbly, upbeat guide. A group of friends and I went over to Mackinac Island for a fun-filled day, and the Kayak Tour was on our to-do list. I would highly recommend Great Turtle Kayak tours. I plan to recommend this to everyone I know. We wore summer clothes and barely got wet, just a few drops here and there from paddling. So wear a swimsuit just in case or clothes you don't mind getting wet in and just bring extra clothes with you to the island to change into later IF you would like to get in the water. Only thing I wish I would of done was wore a swimming suit because once we reached the waters near Arch rock the other people in our tour got out and stood in the crystal clear water and could swim for a bit (water was a little over 4 feet deep at this spot). We plan to return to this gorgeous island again and do another kayak tour! If you are visiting the island this is something you have to do. I was a bit nervous and my boyfriend never kayaked before and Kawami really helped us out and made it completely stress free and it was the best time. We did the late morning Arch rock kayak trip that took about 2 hours, our guide was Kawami and he was so nice and really helped us out. My boyfriend and I both agreed that this was the best part of our trip.
